On my facebook page, I posted the photo of Rabbanit Avigayil and the Layers Project article.  As an introduction, I wrote the following:

This lovely woman is and always will be the beautiful, articulate, passionate teacher of Tanakh, Rabbanit Dr. Avigayil Rock. Although her funeral was today, attended by many hundreds of people, she lives on in her students and the thousands of hours of Torah knowledge she imparted to them. I include myself among the privileged, who not only was enriched by the content and breadth of her learning, but by the passion with which she imparted said knowledge. Her classes were fiery and exciting and I always looked forward to being in attendance. The Torah world has lost a great woman. A great Torah scholar. Baruch Dayan Emet.

On a more personal note:  For me, it was the passion in her teaching that set her apart from most other teachers.  She inspires me to bring that to my teaching, and if I succeed to one hundredth of the degree that she did, I will consider myself successful.

May Hashem comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.
